Can you let me know if you get your sound working? I had sound working in 10.6.4 until the most recent apple update (I believe for safari and quicktime). Since then, no luck with current files (tried replacing the AppleHDA, and the LegacyHDA in /Extra). If I find a solution, I'll post it here too. Hi
There is a great similarity between the EX58A DSDT files as the main differences in the MBs are the bells and whisles/PCIe config. The attached is the dsdt.aml for a GA-EX58A-UD3R Rev 2 plus an amended LegacyHDA for S/L/E and Legacy889HDA.kext for E/E. Processor is i7 930. Good luck

I have a question regarding kext files. Can I put all the kexts that my system needs on the USB stick or do some have to be installed on the actual OS X harddrive? I would really prefer to have everything on the chameleon USB and keep the 10.6 installation untouched by hackintosh files.
Like the ATI files for my 4890 graphics card for example, can these be loaded from the USB stick as well? |

I confirm that the LAN in the GA-X58A-UD7 Version 2.0 does not work!
Perhaps it would be better to specify in the compatible hardware list ...
